Birki’s anatomically correct footbed provides a unique combination of freedom and support. It feels as if you are walking barefoot all the while completely supported by a footbed which is a mirror image of a natural footprint. Only the best materials are used: light natural cork, the finest jute yarn and premium quality natural latex, covered by a soft suede liner which absorbs moisture and creates a healthy environment for your feet.

The toe-grip encourages the toes to perform a gripping motion which strengthens leg muscles and exercises the foot. The longitudinal arch support helps to shift pressure from the middle to the front of the foot. Deep Heelcups mould to each foot and provide maximum stability and support. The footbed is wider near the base, like a trapezoid, providing safe and secure footing on almost any surface. The toe rim is cut extra high to keep the feet secure and protected.  

The Birki’s soft footbed offers that little something extra compared with the original footbed. Underneath the suede liner is a permanently elastic latex cushion. The cushion is size adjusted to fill the whole footbed and provide maximum comfort with minimum break-in time no matter what size you are.
