Components

The Upper
Footprints shoes are shoes that fit in anatomical and functional uniqueness. The uppers therefore offer the foot ample space to move around rather than constricting it.

The Footbed
An optimum fit helps to increase the lifetime of your Footprints shoes and keep your feet healthy. The anatomically shaped cork-latex-footbed is based on the natural footprint people make and guarantees an optimum environment for the feet by carefully selected materials.

The Footprints footbed may be replaced as a separate component or removed for washing (at 30˚C) or for airing.

The Sole
Selecting the right soles is one of the most important decisions to be made in the development of a new model. This is crucial when it comes to wearing comfort and the lifetime of a shoe. Footprints soles use 100% CFCs polyurethane (PU) material which are extremely light and resistant to abrasion. The millions of tiny bubbles created by foaming, result in an air cushioning effect making for the ultimate comfort in walking and standing.

Footprints Leather
Footprints use the best and most beautiful types of leather for our shoes.
Especially great value is placed in processing them in such a manner to make them uphold the tradition of shoemakers.

The tanning is done without using synthetic dyes and in an economically and environment-friendly manner so that the pores of the leather stay open and breathe actively. Differences in the colour combination and scar patterns on the surface of the leather reflect the fact that the leather is treated and preserved in its natural state.

Sympatex
Any styles marked with this symbol have a Sympatex membrane making them 100% waterproof whilst offering maximum active breathing. Giving them the perfect weather protection for every use!
