Paralympics Australia: Milano Cortina 2026
Congratulations to the athletes who represented Australia at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games. Their skill, grit and determination on the world stage have been inspiring, and we’re honoured to have been involved as an Official Supplier throughout their time in Italy. 
Our partnership with Paralympics Australia began ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Games, when we personally fitted each team member with Birkenstock footwear for comfort and recovery between training and competition. That relationship continued through Paris 2024, and this year extended to the Winter Games for the first time.
Milano Cortina 2026 brought together 611 competitors from 55 nations across ten days of competition in Para alpine skiing, Para snowboard, Para cross-country skiing and Para biathlon. 
As part of their uniform kit, Birkenstock Australia provided athletes with the Boston Suede Shearling, helping keep them warm and supported during downtime in the colder Italian conditions.
Competing on the world stage takes years of sacrifice, dedication and resilience. At Milano Cortina 2026, Australia's Paralympians wore it with pride.
