By browsing, accessing or using our website www.birkenstock.com.au, you agree to these Terms and Conditions of use including that of our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, you may not use this site. Birkenstock Australia Pty Ltd's ecommerce store www.birkenstock.com.au reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter or update these Terms of Use, and you agree to be bound by such modifications, alterations or updates.

Birkenstock Australia Pty Ltd do not represent or warrant that the information accessible via www.birkenstock.com.au is accurate, complete or current. We are not responsible for typographical errors. Price and availability information is subject to change without notice. The particular technical specifications and settings of your computer and its display could affect the accuracy of its display of the colours of products offered on the website.

 

Returns and Faulty Goods

Birkenstock Australia Pty Ltd is dedicated to providing their customers with quality products, ensuring that each transaction results in a satisfactory shopping experience. All full price products can be returned for refund if the product is unsuitable or faulty, provided they fit our returns criteria and/or pass the faulty assessment.  Products must be returned in their original condition and packaging, that means that they must be in a new, unused, and unworn condition.

Reduced and sale items cannot be returned. Skincare and Shoe Care products are not returnable. Returns for these items and others that do not meet our return criteria will be rejected and sent RTS.

Upon receipt of your returned products, Birkenstock Australia Pty Ltd will happily reimburse you for the cost of the goods providing they meet our standard conditions for return.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund or charge a restocking fee if:

• •The products are marked, damaged or show signs of wear, this includes footprints and toe marks
• •The products are not returned in their original condition
• •The products are not returned with the original box or packaging
• •Due to the intimate nature of and for OHS reasons socks cannot be returned if the packaging has been removed.
• •Skincare and Shoe Care items cannot be returned.
• •Products purchased on sale or discounted items cannot be returned even if the size is incorrect. They are final sale items.

We will contact you if the items you have returned do not comply with our returns policy and are not eligible for a refund.

Damaged or Faulty Goods

If your order is damaged or faulty upon delivery, www.birkenstock.com.au will replace or repair them on the condition that written notification of their damage is advised (via email) to our customer service team within three (3) days of receipt of goods. The customer service team will advise how to proceed with returning the faulty or damaged goods as quickly as possible.

Goods damaged in transit must be returned to the offices of www.birkenstock.com.au within 14 days of receipt and notification of intent to return to be eligible for a refund. Birkenstock Australia Pty Ltd will cover any postage charges you incur if the product/s are found to be damaged in transit or found to be faulty.

All faulty claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis on site by our workshop. The customer service team must be notified of any defects or faults as soon as they present. Once a return authorisation has been issued, the item/s must be returned within 7 days. Faulty items will be assessed for reparability first in accordance with our commitment towards reduction and sustainability, as is our right under the ACCC guidelines to repair any goods where possible before replacement or refund after being subject to assessment.

Order and Delivery

Delivery Guarantee

At www.birkenstock.com.au we make every effort to have the items you want in stock at all times. In most instances, if a product appears on our site, we have it in stock. If an item were temporarily out of stock, a consultant would email you with an anticipated delivery date. If we are unable to source the item we will refund your order and may advise of an independent retailer that has been supplied the same item from Birkenstock Australia wholesale.

Birkenstock.com.au provides you with an estimated arrival period for each delivery as indicated by the freight provider, this period is the normal time taken to deliver goods to your area and may be subject to freight delays due to unforeseen circumstances.

If your delivery has not arrived within the estimated or expected time frame, customer service for www.birkenstock.com.au must be notified within 7 days in order to follow up and rectify the issue. Birkenstock Australia Pty Ltd are not responsible for items lost if we have not been contacted within 30 days of the order being despatched.

Order Status

For status updates, you can check your account information on the website or contact customer service with your order details. Check your junk folder if you have not received any order confirmation emails.

Cancellations

You may cancel your order at any time prior to the order being processed and despatched and incur no charge whatsoever. To enquire as to whether your order has been processed yet, please email us at help@birkenstock.com.au or if urgent, contact customer service on 1800 623 423 (option 1 for online).

If the order has already been sent for despatch we will be unable to cancel the order. Weekends and Public holidays are not operational. Your request will be responded to on the next working day.

Gift Cards

• •Gift cards are valid for three (3) years from the date of purchase and are not refundable or redeemable for cash.
• •Gift cards purchased on birkenstock.com.au are redeemable online only by entering the gift card code at checkout and cannot be redeemed in physical Birkenstock stores or with other Australian retailers or authorised stockists.
• •Online gift cards may only be redeemed toward the purchase of goods sold on birkenstock.com.au and are expressly excluded from use toward service based transactions, including but not limited to repairs or assessments services.
• •Birkenstock Online and Birkenstock retail stores are independently operated entities, and gift card acceptance policies differ between them.
• •If you would like a gift card for use in a specific physical store, please contact that store directly.

International Orders

We do not ship internationally and reserve the right to cancel and refund orders that have been placed from outside Australia through on-shipping services.

Terms and Conditions – Custom Embossing Promotion (Birkenstock Brisbane City)

 

1.Promoter

The Promotion is conducted by Birkenstock Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 63 089 868 404) of Level 1, 551 Swanston Street, Carlton VIC 3053 (the Promoter).

2. Promotion Details

This is a limited‑timeCustom Embossing Promotion available in‑store at Birkenstock Brisbane City only on the following dates:

• - Friday, 6 February 2026, and
• - Saturday, 7 February 2026

Embossing services will be available between 11:00am and 4:00pm during the Promotion Period, subject to availability.

3. Eligibility

The Promotion is open to customers who make a qualifying purchase in‑store at Birkenstock Brisbane City during the Promotion Period. Proof of purchase may be required.

4. How the Promotion Works

Eligible customers may have any footwear purchased during the Promotion Period custom-embossed, subject to these Terms and Conditions and staff approval.

5. Embossing Limitations

Embossing is limited to a maximum of six (6) characters and/or symbols per pair.

• - Only approved fonts, symbols, and placement options will be available.
• - Certain materials and styles cannot be embossed due to material or construction limitations.
• - Final suitability is determined by store staff.

Content Restrictions

• - Requests containing profanity, offensive language, hate speech, explicit content, or inappropriate wording will not be accepted.
• - The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any embossing request at its sole discretion.

Final Approval and Irreversibility

• - All embossing requests must be approved prior to application.
• - Once embossed, products cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded due to change of mind or errors approved by the customer.

6. Availability and Timing

Embossing services under the Promotion are subject to staff availability and operational capacity. Wait times may apply, and embossing may not be available during peak trading periods.

7. Non-Transferability

The Promotion has no cash value, is non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for alternative services or products.

8. General Conditions

The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion at any time without notice if circumstances arise beyond its reasonable control.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage, or dissatisfaction arising from participation in the Promotion or the embossing service.

 

Terms and Conditions – Birkenstock Brisbane City Experiential Activation

 

1.Promoter

The promotion (the "Promotion") is conducted by Birkenstock Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 63 089 868 404) of Level 1, 551 Swanston Street, Carlton VIC 3053 (the "Promoter").

2. Event Details

The Promotion will be conducted at Queen Street Mall, Brisbane Arcade entrance (160 Queen Street, Brisbane City, QLD 4000) on Friday, 6 February 2026 and Saturday, 7 February 2026 during event operating hours (11:00am–3:00pm), or while stocks last. Dates and times are subject to change at the Promoter’s discretion.

3. Eligibility

The Promotion is open to the general public. Participation is subject to completion of the required data capture form and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter.

4. How to Play

• 4.1) Upon entering the activation space, participants must scan the displayed QR code to play.
• 4.2) Participants must complete the required form in full.
• 4.3) Participants must show the completed form to a Birkenstock Activation Team Member.
• 4.4) Participants will then receive one (1) complimentary Remedy Sodaly drink, subject to availability.
• 4.5) Participants may then take one (1) turn at the Birkenstock Claw Machine and attempt to secure a ball using the machine claw.

4. How to Enter

3. Eligibility

• Purchases of any other products or tarts are not eligible.

4. How to Enter

• One Golden Ticket will be hidden beneath the serving paper under one slice of the limited-edition tart each day during the Promotion Period.
• To claim a prize, the customer must present the Golden Ticket at the Tarts Anon Richmond counter at the time of purchase.
• The winner will be required to provide their full name and a valid email address to staff.

5. Prizes

• There will be one winner each day (a total of three winners across the three-day Promotion Period).
• Each winner will receive one Birkenstock Australia online gift voucher valued at AUD $250.
• Vouchers will be sent to the email address provided by the winner within seven (7) days of claiming the prize.

Birkenstock Australia Tote Design Competition Terms and Conditions

 

1. Eligibility

1.1 Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 and over.
1.2 Employees or immediate family members of management and staff at Birkenstock Australia are not eligible to enter.

2. How to Enter

2.1 Entries must be submitted via the online form no later than 5pm AEST on 30 July 2025.
2.2 Each participant may submit only one entry, consisting of a single file. This file may contain multiple designs, but only one file is permitted per person.
2.3 All entries must comply with the design requirements outlined in Section 3.

3. Design Requirements

3.1 The design must reflect the theme: Aussie Summer.
3.2 Artwork specifications:

• Format: JPEG, PNG or PDF
• Artwork size: minimum of 2480x3508 pixels
• Resolution: minimum 300 DPI
• File size: maximum 100 MB

3.3 Designs must be suitable for printing on canvas or fabric tote bags.
3.4 Designs must be original and must not infringe on any third-party rights. Do not include logos, imagery, characters, or symbols from other brands, companies, or copyright holders. Designs must also not contain any offensive, discriminatory, explicit, violent or illegal imagery. Any AI-generated content must be clearly disclosed.
3.5 Entries that breach any part of clause 3.4 will be disqualified.

4. Judging

4.1 Entries will be reviewed and judged by the Birkenstock Australia team.
4.2 Designs will be judged on originality, visual impact, relevance to the theme and suitability for print.
4.3 The decision of the judging panel is final.

5. Prizes

5.1 The winning entrant will receive $2,500 AUD in cash and 20 printed totes featuring their design.
5.2 Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
5.3 Any tax implications from the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Entrants retain ownership of their design.
6.2 The winning entrant grants Birkenstock Australia a royalty-free, exclusive, worldwide license to:

• Reproduce and use the design for the summer tote
• Modify the design as required for production
• Use the design across in-store displays, social media, website and marketing channels

6.3 Birkenstock Australia may choose to negotiate the purchase of additional rights to the winning design.

7. Notification and Announcement

7.1 The winner will be notified by email and publicly announced on 11 August 2025 via Birkenstock Australia’s social media channels. The winner will also be contacted directly by Birkenstock Australia to confirm prize details. Further information regarding prize fulfilment will be provided at that time.
7.2 If the winner cannot be contacted within 48 hours, Birkenstock Australia reserves the right to select another entry.
7.3 By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that Birkenstock Australia may use their name, likeness and design for promotional purposes in connection with the competition, without additional compensation.

8. Disqualification

8.1 Entries that do not comply with the submission requirements, include plagiarised content, infringe on third-party rights (including the use of trademarks, logos, characters or other copyright-protected material), contain offensive or prohibited material, or breach any of these terms will be disqualified.
8.2 Birkenstock Australia reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and disqualify any entry deemed non-compliant.

9. Privacy

9.1 Personal information provided will be used to administer the competition and to communicate with entrants, including future marketing by Birkenstock Australia.
9.2 By entering, you agree to be added to the Birkenstock Australia customer email database. Your details will not be shared with third parties.
9.3 All personal data will be handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

10. General

10.1 Birkenstock Australia reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition if necessary.
10.2 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
10.3 By entering, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
