What do the three numbers such as 245 mean on Birkenstocks?

There are a few different sets of numbers on the Birkenstock footbed that indicate the size or length of the footbed. For example, 245 indicates the footbed length in millimetres, which in this case is indicative of a size 38. On a size 38 you may also see M5 and L7 - this is a US size equivalent in men's (M) and women's (L) sizing.
