Resole

If you’ve worn down the tread on your favourite sandals, we can replace the sole. You can choose a classic EVA sole or a Supergrip option.

Toe Piece Repair

Over time, toe loop straps can wear thin, or sometimes even come unstuck. This can be easily repaired or reglued in our workshop. Plastic toe piece posts are also replaceable.

Cork Repair

Heat moulded cork and latex is used to patch and refill parts of the cork footbed that over time have cracked or crumbled.

Buckle Replacement

We use genuine Birkenstock buckles to replace old, corroded or broken buckles on your favourite sandals. Enquire with our workshop if you would like a different colour or type of buckle.

Leather Patch

Have you let your soles wear through the cork and into the leather of the upper? Not to worry, we are able to patch leather that is worn through to enable a solid repair. Leather patching is sometimes useful to reinforce buckles or rivets that have torn through the leather upper.

Recycle – Footbed Unit Replacement

A recycle retains the original upper (straps and buckles) of
the shoe, replacing the entire cork footbed, liner, and sole. Perfect if you have an older discontinued style you would love to continue wearing.

Step 1: Time for a Repair

Your Birkenstocks have been loved to death, and are looking a bit worse for wear.

Step 2: Into the Workshop

You can post your Birkenstocks directly to our Workshop, or drop them off at one of your local drop-off points.

Step 3: Assessment

Once they arrive at our Melbourne Workshop, your Birkenstocks will be assessed by experts. You’ll be contacted with a quote with the estimated repair costs.

Step 4: Recycle

If your Birkenstocks are too worn to be repaired and you don’t want them returned, we salvage all useful materials for re-use. (Uppers, buckles, soles, laces, removable footbeds, etc)

Almost all the leather used in our repairs is recycled!

Step 5: Repair

If you choose to repair, we begin the several-day-process of grinding, gluing, and corking your Birkenstocks.
